Right from the start of the planning, it was clear to us that we would have to design very differently than for an in-person event: the attention span for virtual events is much shorter and only with the right mix of content and an appealing, entertaining presentation will the participants stick with it.
First of all, we have to know our target group exactly: in the case of the ‘impulsgeber events’ event, these were marketing managers from different sectors with many questions about the topic of virtual events.
Then we had to find out: what are the most pressing questions of the participants and how do we provide as much information as possible in an entertaining format?
We decided on a dialogue-based live event from the studio: the experienced moderator Carmen Hentschel charmingly led through the programme and ensured a continuous “red thread”. Dialogues with live experts, a commented backstage tour, live demos and a keynote speech formed a varied programme. In addition, the participants were actively addressed and involved via Q&A sessions and interactive query tools.
In the recording of the event you can see how we implemented the concept.
