Lena: As a Merlin Award winner – “the Oscar” among magicians – and finalist of the Italian TV show “Italia’s Got Talent”, you have already proven that you belong to the greats of your art. Until the beginning of last year, you were a sought-after entertainer, especially at international events. How did you experience the “forced break” due to Corona?

Marco: I used the “forced break” as an opportunity to realise a dream by writing my book “Life is”. But I didn’t “take a break” as an artist either, but took on the exciting challenge of reaching my audience digitally with magic and mental magic.

Lena: You have definitely mastered the challenge! As guests of your show, we were able to see for ourselves. You really fascinated us! What is your secret recipe?

Marco: Clearly the closeness to the audience! I myself am very enthusiastic about how well mental magic works at a distance. In video conferences, I can interact with the participants as if they were standing next to me on stage, regardless of whether they are sitting in Brazil or in the next room in front of the screen.

Lena: Yes, I can actually confirm that. It will always be a mystery to me how you do it. Even the magic tricks that each of us could try out under your guidance with a simple pack of cards worked! You are in the process of professionalising this even further…

Marco: Yes, exactly. I am in the middle of preparing a professional streaming studio with elaborate camera technology. I’ve always had a high standard for my show and I want to maintain that for my digital performances. Now I’m looking forward to creating individual shows and concepts for digital events in 2021 together with you.
